We offer injectable and nasal mist flu vaccine for people ages 6 months and up.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends everyone over age 6 months should get a flu vaccine every year.

Those who should not get a flu vaccine include:
• People with a severe allergy to chicken eggs
• People who have had a severe reaction to an influenza vaccine.
• People who have developed Guillian-Barre syndrome within 6 weeks of getting a flu vaccine.
• People who have a moderate to severe illness with a fever.

There are several newer products on the market that we are not offering this year: Intradermal for ages 18-64 and “High Dose” for those over age 65.

We recommend that children with TennCare receive their flu vaccines at their primary care location due to the inventory reporting regulations we must follow.

For further influenza information please visit the Center for Disease Control website: www.CDC.gov/flu
